The Favorites
The reigning NFC and Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles are coming in with +300 odds to repeat as NFC Champions. The Eagles, led by head coach Nick Sirianni and quarterback Jalen Hurts, had a dominating performance throughout the 2024–25 season. With newly acquired All-Pro running back Saquon Barkley and new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, the Eagles’ offense reached a new level.
Despite defensive departures—including Darius Slay and Milton Williams—and the retirement of locker room leader Brandon Graham, Philadelphia is still considered a powerhouse. Offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo has been promoted internally and is expected to maintain continuity. If they continue to “Tush Push” their way through the NFC, they’ll be tough to stop.
Detroit Lions – +475
The Lions had the number one seed in the NFC last season but were upset by Washington in the divisional round. Injuries plagued their defence, with 13 defensive players on IR by Week 18, including star Aidan Hutchinson. A healthy Lions squad, led by head coach Dan Campbell and powered by a dynamic backfield (Jahmyr Gibbs, David Montgomery) and elite receivers (Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams), could be the biggest threat to the Eagles.
Value Pick: Washington Commanders – +900
Led by standout rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, the Commanders shocked many last season. If Daniels avoids a sophomore slump, Washington could be the sleeper team to back. With the addition of star receiver Deebo Samuel and offensive line reinforcement via the draft, the offense is stronger. The defense remains a concern, but even modest improvement there could make them serious contenders in the NFC.
Long Shot: Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings had an unusual year. J.J. McCarthy was drafted 10th overall, then injured, and Sam Darnold stepped in to lead them to a 14-3 season. Despite Darnold’s success, the team is handing the reins to 22-year-old McCarthy. They have a strong coaching staff, top-tier receiver Justin Jefferson, and a bolstered defense featuring Javon Hargrave and Jonathan Allen. If McCarthy plays well, they could become a major threat.
Predictions and Our Thoughts
Vikings have the roster to make a deep run—if McCarthy delivers.
Eagles are still the team to beat in the NFC.
Commanders offer strong value at +900 if Daniels progresses in year two.
